The Good News theme for the 2012-2013 school year is The Miracles of Jesus!
We are excited to announce the theme and cover design for this year’s planners—The Miracles of Jesus—highlighted through our Bible verse for the year:
Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. Acts 2:22
As you go through this school year you will learn the miraculous wonders Jesus performed during his ministry. These miracles are evidence that Jesus is truly God, and Jesus’ compassion show that he is truly man as well.. Every two or three weeks a new miracle will be highlighted through questions and activities for each day.
The Good News Word of the Week (W.O.W) is selected from the weekly Bible verse. This verse can be used as memory work for the week.
Through Daily Exercises, students learn the meaning of this word and how it relates to the Bible story.
Word mastery and story familiarity will stay with children through their lives, helping them to become literate in the language of Scripture and at home with Church life in prayer and worship.
